SF is managing our apartment. Absolutely terrible service. I was aware of only half of it and found out the other half after speaking to our tenants. 1. Our tenants were signed up to a 2nd utilities provider 3 months after moving in by Transfer Gecko. Since they already had an open account under one of the tenants' names, they used the wife's name (without her knowledge). Consequently, they have been receiving two bills for the same utilities. The tenants have exchanged 65 emails with SF since November 2025 and it is still not resolved. I emailed them last week when I found out and have yet to receive a reply. What makes me really upset is that SF told our tenants that WE were the ones that had requested the change in provider in between tenancies to Boird Gais (this doesn't explain why this happened 3 months after they moved in). We never said any such thing. So they are lying to the tenants and lying to us. 1.B SF uses Transfer Gecko and this is not the first time we have had issues with it. Our first tenant also had a long and painful process with the switch. We both (the tenant and us) had to get involved and write to the company to resolve it. There are obvious issues with this service provider and SF knows about it and yet they keep using it. 2. The boiler in the apartment stopped working last week so there was no heating or hot water. The boiler service company had warned SF in October (it is January) that the electrodes were worn out but nothing was done about it at the time. Our tenants were without heating or water for 10 days due to this negligence. 3. Back in November, SF forgot to add an evacuation plan and a boiler certificate for the rental, so when the DLR county officer came to check, we didn't pass the inspection. This, in itself, wasn't a huge problem and was resolved fairly fast. The fact that our apartment requires minimal management and even this wasn't taken care of is what I have a problem with. The biggest issue is there is no one person in charge of our property, therefore no one is responsible, no one knows exactly what is going on and no one can be held accountable. When the boiler broke they suggested a gym voucher for showers. Well, if one person was in charge, they would have known that there is a 1 year old baby in the apartment and a gym isn't an option. The SF machine has gone out of control. They might have been a good agent once, but that is not the case any longer from our experience. We would absolutely not recommend their property management services.

It just so happened that Sherry Fitzgerald auctioneers sold our property and then sold us our new property at the same time. The women (we dealt only with women) were all professional, discreet, efficient and so easy to work with. As vendors and buyers we were kept constantly apprised of developments and we trusted them from the start. We'd choose them again. And recommend them, too.

I cannot recommend Sherry Fitzgerald highly enough. The Dun Laoghaire Team are excellent. They are friendly, helpful, professional and incredibly patient. My husband and I were looking for a property for 8 months. Siobhan and Pippy were so patient and helpful on every call (and there were a LOT of calls and viewings).
