Exclusive Properties

Worst business I have ever dealt with. Completely unprofessional and with illegal practices. I rented a room, and Rory would lie about details about the house. He would actually do that constantly to people he showed the house to. I could hear him outside talking to prospective tenants, telling them lies about fixtures and details of the house, the amount of people living in there (it was 11) etc. They rented the rooms as "room to rent" without a proper lease registered with RTB, even though the landlord did not live in the house. Completely illegal. Yet Rory and Janine would gleefully explain to me I have no rights because of the illegal contracts. They were forced to change this later, I hope they got fined for it too. They would also make unreasonable requests, like claiming house rules prohibit me keeping my shampoo or other items in the bathroom I shared with one other person. No such house rules existed. Tara told me only so because the landlord was having a bad day and had decided on this "new rule" just for me. Everyone else stored their shampoo and similar items in shared bathrooms, yet got no such communication. Just completely unprofessional and power tripping little people. Also if they asked for an unreasonable request not documented in the "lease" or in house rules, they would accompany it with threats. Threatening someone with homelessness. Lowest of the low. Rip off Ireland personified. Selfish, unreasonable, rude, lying people. They do not care about people, your rights, laws or reason. Dodgy stuff altogether.

I have had a great experience with this company, specifically dealing directly with Rory. I am a current tenant in the location another reviewer scolded recently on here (screenshot of review attached), and could not disagree more. I lived with this tenant for a year or so at the property, and have lived there for nearly 3 years now. Rory has always been so professional and attentive whenever Ive had concerns or queries, and I cannot speak on this other tenants personal experience, but I had not witnessed the problems he mentioned AT ALL in my tenancy. In my recollection, the tenant never brought up these issues with me e.g. we shared a bathroom and I would bring my shampoo etc in and out of the bathroom when necessary, as I have in every shared living situation out if courtesy, and i dont recall them complaining about this to me? There are house "rules" like any other living arrangement Ive been in, and Im glad they are in place as there are 10 fully grown adults living under the same roof - it would be a bit chaotic if there weren't any. None of these rules are written down, just aggreed amoung all parties involved, and are fully flexible to accomodate *all* current tenants. I.e. if a concern is raised we all discuss it to find an appropriate solution that suits everyone. And again, cannot compliment Exclusive Properties enough for their professionalism. I understand when a tenant in a property has issues with others at the property, it can be challenging for all parties, but I dont think writing a scathing review is helping anyone in the situation. I hope they resolve their issues without unnecessarily dragging this companys name any more, and wish them well.

I’ve rented from Exclusive Properties for a couple of years and they have provided excellent service and professionalism at all times - from the initial inquiry through to property management. Properties are well run and they are very easy to contact as required. Tenants are happy with the way things are run which are to the ultimate benefit of all in the property. Highly recommend
